We are currently seeking a full-time Jewish Life & Program Specialist for residents of Menorah Life and our partner, Philip Benjamin Tower. In this role you will create, promote and host engaging Jewish programs open to residents of our 3 buildings: residents at Samson Nursing Center, assisted living residents at our Toby Weinman Residence and apartment residents at Philip Benjamin Tower.

A successful candidate will have great energy, communication and computer skills and ability to plan events to enrich Jewish life through celebration of Jewish holidays. This employee leads a mid-afternoon Friday Shabbat program alongside residents at Philip Benjamin Tower. A typical work day may be split with a morning at one facility and walking to the neighboring buildings to host a similar activity. Combined programs among our facilities and outreach into the Jewish community are encouraged.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication and marketing skills, the ability to multitask, prior experience with database management, website and social networking sites, and the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.

Under the direction of Director of Life Enrichment, you will implement, evaluate resident cultural and recreation programs with a focus on Jewish values and traditions. You will coordinate, plan, implement and evaluate appropriate resident cultural and recreation programs in the community with community members, associations, synagogues, service leaders, etc. to ensure successful activities.
Responsibilities for the Philip Benjamin Tower will include effective communications with residents and Jewish event programming to enrich Jewish life through celebration of Jewish holidays (combined with Samson Nursing Center, when appropriate), Shabbat meal delivery and a monthly Shabbat program. This position will provide relationship building to Tower residents and marketing events within the Jewish community.
